Self employment information: How to be Successfully Self Employed

How to be SUCCESSFULLY self-employed? This is one of the favourite questions that I have come across. It’s pretty simple, but NOT easy. Here’s how I did it.

1. High levels of SELF-DISCIPLINE. This is probably the biggest of all traits that YOU have to master, yet the most difficult to. Success is NOT what YOU do, BUT what YOU do DAILY! The only things that we do daily are things of HABIT. So, IF YOU want to be successful at anything, YOU HAVE TO develop successful HABITS. I would like to recommend the book THE 7 HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE by Stephen Covey.

2. PERSEVERANCE and PATIENCE. You have to turn YOURSELF into an Energizer bunny with a NEVER SAY DIE attitude. YOU have to believe that YOU WILL REAP IF YOU SOW, but as per NATURE’S TIMETABLE, NOT yours. This is important to understand. There will be trials and challenges, but these are just TESTS which GOD puts YOU through, to know whether you are a man or a worm.

3. BE A DOER. Be action-oriented. One of the best ways to do this is to diligently honour a TO-DO list. This TO-DO list should have at least 5 things listed down that YOU have to do on the day. This will ensure you are kept on track.

4. FOCUS on CAN DO and NOT the NO CAN DO. At every step of YOUR life, you will come across difficult circumstances. But focussing on the problems is NOT going to get YOU anywhere. Instead, focus on the solutions, and the problems will automatically go away.
