I am 55 year old male, and live in Melbourne, Australia. I injured my knee and therefore can no longer work in factories or constructions sites.
I know how to use computers and internet and have a broadband connection.
I only have $ 7,000 cash to invest.
I would like to try self employment such as doing business online etc.
I have trouble coming up with ideas. can you suggest a small business I should start online.

Maybe you could consider some online businesses in your passionate areas. It could be in the form of selling digital products, doing some affilitate marketing, pay per click, etc.

It doesn’t have to be real quick like today? lol But I do it need like within a couple of days, I work at home but it’s not enough. I have some important bills that need to be paid. I recently took a 2 year sabbatical from work as I’ve always hated authority and working for others. I’ve just started working as a driving instructor and I know it will take a couple of months to get my name out threre. Does anyone out there know of other types of self-employment work I could do to supplement my income, also I get bored very easily and could not see myself working as a driving instructor for the rest of my life. I see it as a stepping stone to hopefully better things, any help at all would be very much appreciated.

ok i am 16 a sophbmore at napoleon highschool, i want to go to college to get my bachlors degree in graphic design, right now i need a job and i want one with something to do with computers, but the economy isent good so i’m thinking about posting an add in the news paper that says that if you need a logo designed i can make one for a good price, or something to that effect, i just want to know if designing my own logos at this age will people buy theem off me i have already made a logo for G2 (gatorade 2) and i sent a note to gatorade company and they said maby in the future we will buy your logo off you, so i want to know if this is a good idea i am very artistic and know a bunch about computers and graphic design so any answers will work thanks.

I run my own business, I have been told that I could lower my income monthly but pay myself a dividend say twice a year.

Does this have tax advantages?

Does anyone lese know if this is a good idea and how it would work?

I assume you are in the UK.
You can only pay dividends out of a Limited company and it is true that if you pay yourslef in dividends, then you dont pay NIC’s on them.
If you are a sole trader, then there is no company to pay the dividend and you are assessable on your whole profits.

I am Italian, but I would love to move to Iceland, buy a house there, and even open a new business (or transfer my existing one, if at all possible), a small (two person) company for software development. I already have enough clients and a good monthly income, but I have no idea about the order in which I should do things before moving.

For example, should I first establish residency in Iceland and then open a business there, or vice versa? I am having a great difficulty finding detailed information for self-employed people.

Finally, I’d like to understand what’s the "real" price of houses in Iceland. I looked through the website habil.is, and I see many wonderful houses for "just" 20-24 million – which is way below the cost of houses in Italy. Are those prices real or do houses cost more than advertised on habil.is?

i think small shop under a big complex with xerox machine and 2 to 3 std phones and one fax will fetch u good money i know that with little of recharging of mobile phones
